Plesk: Using an external email address for password recovery

There is a new feature on Plesk-hosted email accounts where you can set up an External email address to use for email password recovery.
That would make the admin work easier as people could reset their own email account's password using that External email address.

To do that:

Edit the account and

  • Make sure the option "Can be used to log in to Plesk" is checked.
  • Specify a valid external email address. It will be used to reset the password if they lose access to the primary email address.
  • Click OK to save.

Once this is done, if these users lose their account's passwords, you (or they) will be able to log into the hosting Plesk panel at https://psaXXX.his.com:8443/,
enter their external email address and have a password reset email sent to them.

Then reset their own password.
