Changing an email account password on a Plesk server - knowing the current one or as the Plesk admin

As the email user - knowing the current password

  1. Log onto your Control panel https://psaxxx.his.com:8443/
    (Replace psaxxx.his.com with your real Plesk sewrver name)
  2. Username: Your full email address
  3. Password: Your current email password
  4. Click on "Change Email Account Settings"
  5. Use the "Generate" button to generate a password matching our security requirements automatically
  6. Click OK to make the change

As Plesk Administrator

  1. Log onto your Control panel https://psaxxx.his.com:8443/
    (Replace psaxxx.his.com with your real Plesk sewrver name)
  2. Click the Mail tab to access the Mail Names Management functions:
  3. Click on the mail name (user@domain.name).
  4. Click on "To change the mailbox password, change a password of a corresponding Panel user account by following this link".
  5. Enter the new password in the "Password" area and confirm it in the "Confirm Password" area.
  6. Click OK for the change to take effect.
  7. Communicate the new password to the email user
