Protect Your Web Application

Web Applications like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, vBulletin are favorite targets of Denial of Service and Brute Force Attacks which may seriously impair your web presence.
We encourage Webmasters hosting with us to keep the Applications and their components updated, but sometimes it's not enough.

We recommend using Sucuri: They are experts at monitoring, alerting and removing malware, and have developed a Web Application Firewall Service to protect Web sites against such attacks.

Read their article: Understanding Denial of Service and Brute Force Attacks – WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, vBulletin

The excuse we hear the most for not keeping up with the updates is that it risks breaking the site, and/or the site developper has left.

If you are in this situation where you can't update your web application, protect it with a Web Application Firewall (WAF) using Sucuri's CloudProxy Service will protect your Web Site from attacks.

The proxy layer analyzes transactions and intercepts attacks in transit, preventing malicious trafficfrom reaching the web application.
