Resetting your Plesk Control Panel / FTP login information
Here is how to reset your Control Panel login information.
Step 1: Use the "Forgot password"
- Go to the control Panel login page: https://psaXXX.his.com:8443/
(Replace psaXXX with the real name of the server that has been provided to you) -
Click on the "Forgot Password" link
You will be asked for this information:
- The control panel admin username OR
- The control panel admin email address
- Click on Send.
You will receive an email with a link to reset the Control Panel password at the associated email address within a few minutes.
If have not received it after 1 hour, check your SPAM filters.
Step 2 Login and reset your Control Panel password.
Make a good note of the new password.
Use the new Control Panel password to login to your Control Panel and reset your FTP password if needed:
- Click on the Web Sites & Domains tab.
- Click on Web Hosting Access.
- Enter a new (FTP) password, confirm it and click OK to change it. Do NOT REUSE old passwords.
- Make a note of the new FTP username /password combination for your record.
We recommend that you adhere to password-security best practices and use a unique, random password of at least 8 characters (15 is better) combining upper and lower-case letters, numbers and punctuation characters.
Do not re-use old passwords, passwords that you use on other accounts or passwords that spell out dictionary words.
